Two cases were registered against TRS MLC Mynampally Hanumanth Rao and four others late on Sunday for allegedly beating up two persons. According to complaints made to Pet Basheerabad Police, Dole Rajesh and P.M. Sai Prasad alleged that the MLC and his men had roughed them up. P.M. Sai Prasad, had alleged that he was being targeted as he had questioned the MLC’s alleged possession of irregular and unauthorised structures.
The MLC had lodged a complaint against Rajesh and case was registered under the SC/ST Atrocities Act. Pet Basheerabad Inspector D.V. Ranga Reddy said the alleged fight between the groups happened at Cine Planet but the police also witnessed exchange of blows when the complaints arrived at the police station to register their complaints.
