A proposal to develop a full-fledged tribal museum showcasing the rich tribal culture and heritage in two acres of land in Bhadrachalam is under the consideration of the State government, said Pamela Satpathy, Project Officer, Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Bhadrachalam.

She visited the mini-museum located on the premises of the ITDA headquarters in the temple town on Friday.

She had a glimpse of the tribal artefacts and other objects of historical importance preserved at the mini-museum.

Speaking on the occasion, she said efforts were on to promote and preserve the glorious customs and traditions of tribal communities for posterity.

She said an action plan will be prepared in consultation with the officials, who have long been associated with the maintenance of museums, and a cross section of people including subject experts to develop a full-fledged tribal museum in Bhadrachalam.

The facility will provide the visitors an opportunity to gain an in-depth insight into the rich history, culture and traditions of tribal communities in the State.
