Trial run for new water reservoirs built by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) would be conducted in the next few days at Gopannapally, Nallagandla, HUDA Miyapur, KPHB phase four, Autonagar and Shapurnagar.

These reservoirs were built with the financial assistance of ₹1,900 crore from HUDCO under the Water Supply Improvement and Distribution Network Project in peripheral municipal areas, informed water board MD M. Dana Kishore after a meeting with his senior officials.

He instructed the general managers and implementing agencies to commence the trial runs from the completed reservoirs and also check for inlets, outlets, distribution lines, besides ensuring road restoration work as per the schedule.

Precautionary measures should be taken in the meantime like barricading, public information boards at work sites besides refilling and compacting of earth over dug-up roads to avoid inconvenience to public, he added.
