Traffic would be stopped or diverted from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday on some routes due to the Congress public meeting at the L.B. stadium, traffic police said on Thursday.
Vehicles would not be allowed towards BJR statue at AR petrol bunk and would be diverted towards Nampally or Ravindra Bharathi. Those coming from Abids and Gunfoundry would not be allowed towards BJR statue and Basheerbagh. They would be diverted towards Chapel Road at Gunfoundry. Vehicles going from Basheerbagh junction to General Post Office, Abids, would be diverted towards Hyderguda and King Koti road at Basheerbagh junction. Traffic from Old MLA quarters to Basheerbagh will be diverted towards Himayathnagar ‘Y’ junction.
Vehicles from Rajmohalla road to Old MLA quarters will be diverted towards King Koti or Narayanguda at Cemetery Junction. Vehicles from King Koti to Basheerbagh via Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan would be diverted towards Tajmahal at King Koti crossroads. Vehicles from Liberty junction to Basheerbagh would be diverted towards Himayathnagar. Those going from Traffic Control Room to Basheerbagh would be diverted towards Nampally road.
