A long, hard day in office, and you don’t want to drive back. Or after an evening with friends, you are just not up to the task of driving. Happens often, right? Now, a city-based startup has come up with a solution for such scenarios.

Rakesh Munnanooru of Whistle Drive says, “You can download our app and after answering a series of questions about your car, we will send a driver who will safely drop you home. We have day as well as hourly packages.”

The startup has received a ₹5 crore infusion of funds from a Chicago-based firm. “We take care of the transportation solution for corporates and big companies by providing software as well as cabs. That is our major B-to-B operation. We now want to scale up to a different level,” said Mr. Munnanooru. “We have three-tier filtration procedure to ensure that appropriately trained drivers work with us and we don’t have to face issues later,” he added.
