A lady driver with one of the highest Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) levels ever caught in the city created terror early on Sunday by ramming her car into three vehicles at Alwal. However, no one was injured in the incident.

The 45-year-old woman from Marredpally was reportedly driving in an inebriated state while returning along with another person from a party at the time of accident. Her BAC level was found to be 170 mg in 100 ml of blood much higher against the permissible limit of 30 mg. “The lady who was in an inebriated condition was steering the car while the male accomplice was sitting on the adjacent seat. She lost control over the vehicle and rammed into two cars and one motorcycle,” Inspector Alwal S V Harikrishna said.

The police said that the woman was returning from a party and took the Suchitra junction and Old Alwal road to reach Secunderabad. She lost control over the vehicle near Reliance Fresh outlet near Father Balaiah Nagar and rammed into the vehicles. Locals who gathered at the spot immediately informed the police who reached the spot and took both the car occupants into custody. The injured were shifted to a private hospital for medical treatment. The woman was sent for medical examination.
