Hyderabad-based franchisee Sunrisers has announced the sale of tickets for the eight home games in the IPL 2013 – with the first one being against Pune Warriors on April 5. The tickets are available online on makemytrip.com and will be sold from Friday for the first match, at Cafe Coffee Day outlets in the city and at Gymkhana Grounds.
The total capacity for the IPL matches is 32,154 and 10 per cent of the ticket share is for the Hyderabad Cricket Association.
The highest denomination of ticket is Rs. 15,000 for South-West Ground Floor (hospitality) and the lowest is priced at Rs. 250 for the North Pavilion terrace and Rs. 300 each for the East Stand first floor and ground stands and also for West Stand first and ground floors.
No mobile phones
At Thursday’s meeting, the HCA officials were told by the top police officials that security would continue to be very tight for all IPL matches and also for practice sessions. Fans will not be allowed to bring mobile phones into the stadium.
However, fans might face inconvenience from vendors during the matches. “Since, this is not a BCCI Test match or ODI, HCA has very little say in keeping a tab on the pricing of eatables and refreshments,” HCA officials say.
Training sessions
Meanwhile, the Sunrisers management said that the training sessions would commence from Friday at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.
Gymkhana Ground has been suggested as an alternative venue if the team faces any hiccups because of the work in progress for installing the alternative lighting system beneath the canopy (roofing) to compensate for the loss of lux (intensity) as the roofing was obstructing the floodlit towers at the pavilion end.
