The plans of Telangana to encourage research in information technology by setting up the country biggest incubator will start taking concrete shape from Friday with Minister for IT K. Tarakarama Rao laying foundation stone for the prestigious T-Hub project.

It is being expected that research in the IT sector would make a head-start in the country with the world-standard IT incubator being planned as part of T-Hub. Promising start-ups would get an opportunity to take up research for innovations in the field. Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, P. Mahender Reddy, T-Hub director B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, P.J. Narayanan of IIIT, Dean of ISB Ajit Rangnekar, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR P. Mustafa and others would participate in the event.

According to officials, the main objective of the T-Hub project would be to set up about 1,000 start-ups over the next five years, setting up 25 incubators and creating direct employment to 10,000 personnel. The government is planning to coordinate with the start-ups from conceptual stage, help them in accelerating research and propelling them to marketing stage.
