Three persons were taken into custody by the police on charges of raping a minor girl at Abids.
Abids Inspector G. Guru Raghavendra said the accused Ravi, Bablu and Kanu, all residents of Abids, befriended the victim five months ago and started moving freely with her. Since then, the trio had been violating her. The incident came to light when the girl complained of severe headache and vomiting.
Her family members rushed her to a nearby private hospital where doctors confirmed that she was pregnant. On questioning, the girl spilled the beans. Based on a complaint lodged by the girl’s family, the police registered a case against the trio and detained them.
Case against vice-principal
In a separate case, the Ramgopalpet police registered a case against the vice-principal of a physiotherapy college in Secunderabad for allegedly misbehaving with a student. In her complaint, the student told police that the vice-principal Babu refused to give her hall-ticket for the forthcoming exams citing shortage of attendance. Arguing over the issue, he misbehaved with her, said the police. The police booked a case against Babu and took him into custody.
