Three killed in road accident

Three members of a family were killed and six others injured when an APSRTC bus rammed a Tata Ace vehicle they were travelling in at Chevella in Ranga Reddy district on Monday evening. The condition of two of the injured is stated to be critical, the police said quoting doctors.

The family of a businessman Ghouse Sahib (60), a resident of Kishanbagh, was returning after attending a wedding of a relative at Chengomul village in Chevella when the accident took place at Ibrahimpally gate. Ten persons were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the accident, the police said.

“It is not clear as to what happened, but the Tata Ace vehicle took the brunt of the accident resulting in injuries to all the occupants,” Chevella sub-inspector Md. Khaleel said. While Ghouse Sahib, who sustained injuries, died on the spot two others Nadira Begum (55) and Choti Bee (40) succumbed while undergoing treatment at a local hospital in Chevella.
