Three persons committed suicide, while a 55-year-old man was found dead in mysterious circumstances in the last 24 hours.
P. Sairam (16), a ninth standard student of a government school, hung himself to death at a private college at Moosarambagh on Monday night.
Police said Sairam might have resorted to the extreme step after his parents admonished him for ignoring studies.
His mother works as a class IV employee in the college. Students found his body hanging to the ceiling on Tuesday morning.
Woman ends life
Sumathi Reddy (32), a housewife from Nagolabanda in Falaknuma, consumed poison on Monday to end her life. She loaned Rs. 1 lakh to Vajramma, her tenant, a few months ago.
The latter picked up a quarrel over repaying the loan and depressed over this, Sumathi ended her life, police said.
Watchman dies hanging
A watchman, M. Yadagiri (55) hung himself to a tree near his house at Karanbagh in Saidabad late on Monday night.
Police are ascertaining the reasons behind his desperate step.
Suspicious death
Meanwhile, labourer B. Ramakrishna (55) was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a furniture godown at Mylardevpally on Tuesday morning.
Police are investigating the reasons behind his untimely death.
