With a view to clarifying doubts plaguing NIT and IIT aspirants, The Hindu will conduct a panel discussion at its office at Begumpet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday.
The discussion, being conducted in association with Youth Employability Services Centre (YESC), will be chaired by Prof. Madhav Madhira.
The panel also comprises IIT alumni Venkataraman and Chakrapani, fourth-year students Sailesh Akella and R. S. Naveen Kishore and fifth-year students Devi Karuna Sri and Kalyan Janumpally.
The panel will discuss issues regarding fee structure, curriculum, infrastructural developments and faculty shortages at these institutions and the choice between four and five year courses. Discussions will also be held about the quality of students and the assessments that students have to go through.
