The first Metro passenger

November 30, 2017 12:47 am | Updated 12:48 am IST - HYDERABAD

If K. Archana, a teacher, earned the distinction of being the first to board the 6 a.m. Hyderabad Metro train that started from Nagole station, it was well earned.

Ms. Archana arrived early to the station and waited outside before it was opened for the public. Yet, all she wanted was to have a feel of the Metro ride. “I work as teacher at Alair, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, and stay at Vanasthalipuarm. Before starting for work, I just wanted to experience the Metro ride on the first trip,” said Ms. Archana who arrived with her husband, a businessman.
