Tension rises as TDP, MIM leaders clash

Mild tension prevailed at Dabeerpura police station on Tuesday after politicians from Telugu Desam Party and MIM clashed over a dispute.

A TDP leader Muzafar Ali Khan suffered stab injuries in the incident.

Argument

Trouble broke out when leaders of the two groups entered into an argument and in a fit of rage MIM leader Rauf's son Fayaz attacked Khan with a knife resulting in stab wounds on his head and neck.

Condition stable

The police rushed Khan to a corporate hospital in Malakpet where his condition is stable.

Two persons were taken into custody in connection with the incident.
