Celebrations would include seminars, music and dance concerts, drama shows and other cultural programmes, said University vice-chancellor A. Bhoomaiah, while addressing a press conference here on Monday.

He said the university was planning to conduct centenary celebrations of eminent persons who excelled in the fields of Telugu literature and art annually.

To start with, the university authorities this year are conducting special programmes on Modern Telugu poet Srirangam Srinivasarao, better known as Sri Sri.

As part of the celebrations, the university is presenting the annual university excellence award to noted writer, B. Rajinikantha Rao and the Srisiddhendra Narthana award to Kuchipudi dancer Rajaradha Reddy.
