Telangana TDP MLAs on Thursday questioned the right of the TRS in seeking their resignation when the latter's two MPs -- K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Vijayashanti -- were reluctant to do the same.

At a press conference, TD MLA Eraballi Dayakar Rao said even now he and his colleagues were prepared to quit the Assembly, if the Congress too followed suit and if it results in precipitating a constitutional crisis. In fact their resignation letters continued to be with the Telangana JAC convener M. Kodandaram.

It was absurd on part of the TRS to keep suspecting TDP MLAs and engineer protest demonstrations against them, he said. He wondered why former TRS MLA T. Harish Rao was targeting TDP and was not speaking a word against Congress.
