A delegation comprising Telugu Desam Members of the Legislative Assembly and others, including the party’s Telangana State president L. Ramana and Motukupalli Narasimhulu, apart from a few legislators on Friday called on Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan and sought his intervention to revoke the suspension of 10 party MLAs.
Submitting a memorandum, they explained how they were being targeted in the House and how the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi was stifling the voice of the Opposition. On November 13, 10 members of the party were banned for a week from attending the Assembly following a row that arose over a comment by TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy over Nizamabad MP K. Kavita not being present for the household survey.
MLAs R. Krishnaiah, Maganti Gopinath, Rajender Reddy and Prakash Goud were among those who were part of the delegation.
Later, at a press conference at the party office, Mr. Revanth Reddy alleged that the TRS was targeting him.
