The sleepy city outskirts of Jillellaguda and Meerpet on Sunday evening buzzed with hectic campaign activity as the TDP rolled out a colourful road show to drum up support for its candidates.
Led by party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu himself, the campaign in support of Maheshwaram Assembly candidate T. Krishna Reddy and candidate for Chevella Parliament constituency T. Virender Goud had participation of local leaders and workers of alliance partner, BJP too.
From Manda Mallamma Chowrasta, the road show passed through the lanes and bylanes of the surrounding residential areas before culminating in a public meeting.
The small ground that was venue for the meeting late in the evening was packed and Mr. Naidu exhorted them to defeat Congress.
