TASK provides platform for industry-academia interaction

A meet initiated by the Telangana Academy for Skill & Knowledge (TASK) here on Wednesday provided a perfect platform for representatives of industry and academia to share knowledge and experiences and thus gain an insight on current needs of the former, while expectations to build the required skill sets among graduates.

Addressing the meet that was attended by several industry leaders and academicians from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad and its affiliated colleges, CEO of TASK Sujiv Nair showcased the activities of the academy and how it was non-profit organisation set up by the government to enhance skills and synergy among institutions of government, industry and academia.

The meet gave students a perspective on what the industry expected from them and how the concept of employability needed to be woven into the existing curriculum. Mr. Nair shared key initiatives of TASK, including soft skill training delivery by industry professionals, launch of e-learning modules and skill pilots in collaboration with corporates.
