A talk on breast health, as part of the first Srujanasree Memorial Session, was organised at St. Francis Junior College, Begumpet, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday.

Director, KIMS, Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Disease, P. Raghu Ram, who delivered the talk, addressed the common myths that surround breast cancer.

In his talk, the breast surgeon said that women of all ages should be ‘breast aware’ and report any new changes to doctors without delay and women over the age of 40 should have an annual screening mammogram.

Aimed at empowering college students with accurate information on breast health, the memorial session was instituted by G.V. Subba Rao and Vanaja in memory of their daughter who lost her life at a very young age to an end stage metabolic disease, the press release said.
