TalentSprint launches data science programme

TalentSprint, a digital platform for job seekers and working professionals, announced the launch of its Data Science for Managers, and Foundations of Fintech and Blockchain programmes here on Tuesday.

The Union government had earlier taken up a mission to empower 20 lakh professionals.

Data Science for Managers programme, ideal for practising managers and business leaders across all sectors, will start in March 2018 and run in partnership with Praxis Business School to teach disruptive technologies to one lakh professionals.

The programme will first be offered in Hyderabad and le d by experts, including Dr. Prithwis Mukherjee, Charanpreet Singh and Asokan Pichai. Foundations of FinTech and Blockchain will also start in March.

Addressing mediapersons on Tuesday, Santanu Paul, MD and CEO of TalentSprint, said, We are launching programmes in association with best-in-class partners. Data Science for Managers is with Praxis , a leading B-school known for its data science and analytics expertise while FinTech and Blockchain programme is with global industry leaders Ripple, PayPal, Paytm Payments Bank, ICICI Bank and Indian Angel Network.”

Data science will be a universal skill set soon, the company said. A forecast by PWC suggests 27 lakh new data science and analytical jobs will be created by 2020 as business decisions are taken based on data.

With volumes of data exploding on one hand and business decisions becoming complex on the other hand, it is critical for modern managers and business leaders to gain expertise in using data science tool chain, the company heads explained.

Speaking on the occasion, Charanpreet Singh, Co-founder and Director, Praxis Business School Foundation, “Data Science for Managers, is specifically designed for managers and business leaders across all sectors. It emphasizes case studies as a primary tool to build expertise in Data Science and is in sync with Praxis’ mission to empower managers with deep data skills”, Mr. Singh added.
