Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited is looking to double its present market share of 8 per cent in the two-wheeler segment by the end of the current fiscal, by introducing at least four more new products.
The company’s executive vice-president Atul Gupta told presspersons here on Monday that the present distribution network, comprising 600 touch points for sales and service, would be increased to 1,000 by the end of March 2015.
“In seven years of operations in India, the company could reach 600 outlets, but in the current fiscal we are adding 400 more, with focus on customer service,” he said.
“As of now, we have five products. Today, we are launching the 110 cc Suzuki LET’S with better mileage, performance and features,” Mr. Atul Gupta stated, adding that it was designed with city youth in mind. The 98-kg vehicle delivers a mileage of 63 km per litre under test conditions, he claimed.
LET’S is available here in five colours – pearl mira red, metallic triton blue, pearl mirage white, glass sparkle black and metallic sonic silver – for a price of Rs. 45,748 (ex-showroom, Hyderabad).
