Essential commodities have been distributed sufficiently in 17 police station limits of curfew-affected areas on Thursday, Hyderabad Joint Collector V. Durgadas informed through a press note. Over 1,700 quintals of vegetables and 69,000 litres of milk were distributed through Rythu Bazar and Vijaya Dairy, he said.

Also, 2,882 quintals of rice; 21,420 litres of kerosene; 17 quintals of sugar and 55 quintals of wheat were distributed among 18,732 ration-card-holders. Chief Executive Officer of the Rythu Bazars informed that vegetables were despatched to areas where curfew was imposed. Twenty-four mobile vans carried 170 tonnes of tomato, potato, chillies, brinjal, and leafy vegetables to the curfew affected areas on Thursday. On Wednesday, six vans carried 80 tonnes of vegetables and they were kept at the police stations and places suggested by the police department.
