Student electrocuted near college

A 17-year-old Intermediate student was reportedly electrocuted on Wednesday when he accidentally came in contact with a live wire near his college at Shamshabad here.

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police identified the deceased as Shaik Kashif, a first-year student of a private junior college in Shamshabad. The incident took place at around 11.15 a.m. when he was reportedly shifting an iron pipe from another college nearby for a sports function in his college. Police said that death was instant for Kashif and are verifying the reason behind the incident.

A case was registered and a probe is on, the RGIA police said.
