‘State will get assured funds from Centre’

Special representative of the State in New Delhi Kambhampati Rammohan Rao has said the State government will strive to get due share of Central funds as per the AP Reorganisation Act.

Speaking to media persons on Friday Mr. Rammohan Rao said though there had been no remarkable assistance from the Centre so far, the recent meeting of Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu with Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley had kindled hopes with the latter assuring to extend possible assistance.

In reply to a question Mr. Rao said the State was reassured for completion of Polavarm project when the issue of meagre allotment of funds was seriously pursued with the Union government. Earlier, Mr. Rao took part in the weekly Abhishekam of the presiding deity Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala temple.
