The State Central Library, Afzalgunj is set to regain its lost glory. The State government has decided to take up the much needed repair works of the library by spending Rs. 2 crore, a press release said.
On Friday, district Collector, Natrajan Gulzar inspected the library premises and said that the repair works would be carried out very soon.
While interacting with the library working staff, the district Collector assured that repair works will be taken up without damaging the historical architecture of the edifice. The Collector assured that there is no dearth of funds and there will be no further delay in taking up the repair works in the library, a press release said.
The district Collector along with Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri visited all the departments of the library and assured the readers to improve the basic amenities in the library.
The Collector requested regular visitors and members to come up with suggestions to improve the facilities at State Central Library.
