Anonymous callers harassing women is an often heard of complaint and the latest complaint was lodged by a woman police officer in city who became a target of one such stalker.
Inspector of Woman police station of South zone in Hyderabad Commissionerate Laxmi Madhavi lodged a complaint with the Central Crime Station about the stalker on Tuesday. The person, believed to be a youngster, was repeatedly sending text messages with objectionable content to the police officer. He also called her several times over mobile phone and made obscene comments.
Following her complaint, a case under Section 354D of Indian Penal Code was registered. Mobile phone call analysis indicated that the caller was in Madhya Pradesh. A special team was being sent to that State to catch the accused.
