SPV for Bhogapuram airport cleared

Even as farmers are agitating against the land acquisition for international airport at Bhogapuram, the Law Department has cleared the formation of Special Purpose Vehicle for the project.

The SPV comprising secretaries of Finance, Revenue, Infrastructure and Investment, Incap and Industries will create an equity of Rs.5 crore.

The State government has also taken a decision to appoint RITES, under Civil Aviation Ministry as the consultant to assist the SPV in finalising all the modalities, development of airport infrastructure and get all the required clearances.
