Freyr Energy, a city-based start-up focused on solar energy, launched a mobile app to help individuals and companies to run rooftop solar business.

Describing Freyr SunPro, the app, as a first of its kind, co-founder and managing director Saurabh Marda said using complex algorithms and data analytics it streamlined the entire process of getting a customer’s solar requirement fulfilled. The app, both for iOS and Android devices, is already being used by over 75 channel partners of the company.

“With the app we have eliminated all the complexity involved in system design, pricing, proposal generation and made it easier to sell a solar system,” he said. An EPC firm, Freyr Energy’s product range includes rooftop systems, solar water pumps, microgrids and solutions for petrol pumps.

Mr. Marda and co-founder and director Radhika Choudary, addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, said Freyr Energy had in the last 18 months raised ₹ 10 crore. The company, he replied to a query, would require $2 million to $3 million more, for which it hoped to initiate discussion with prospective investors soon.
