The Punjagutta police registered a cheating case against, Aapti Techno Soft Company, Somajiguda, on Tuesday following a complaint from the employees about being cheated.

According to the police, the management collected between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 1 lakh from around 150 employees for training and as caution deposit. However, for the last few months they were evading payment of salaries to the employees. A few cheques issued last month also got bounced.

Sunil Kumar, an employee, who claimed to have paid Rs. 65,000, charged that the management collected the money promising to offer training and jobs. “The management told us that they are getting jobs from different government agencies,” he charged.

The company was operating from Madhapur and Somajiguda for the last one year and had shut down its office at Madhapur last month. “We have registered a cheating case against the management of the company and are making efforts to nab them,” Punjagutta Inspector, S Mohan Kumar said.
