A software employee committed suicide unable to bear the alleged harassment from her husband.
The deceased V. Vineela used to work for an IT firm and resided in Gangaram Colony in Chandanagar. The 33-year-old was found hanging from the ceiling on Saturday night. According to the complainant and mother of the deceased, Uday Lakshmi, dowry harassment was the reason her daughter ended life. She said that the husband of the deceased used to demand dowry from her as he was unemployed. Ms. Vineela is survived by two children. The Chandanagar police has registered a case of dowry death and took the husband into custody.
