Roza Navoyan calls herself a proud ‘Sridevian’. An Armenian, her reverence for one of Bollywood’s most celebrated actors and grief at her sudden demise found expression on social media, which overflowed with tributes for Sridevi on Sunday.

As the news trickled in, Sridevi’s fans from across the world first discarded reports of her death as a hoax. Then, an avalanche of messages expressing shock and sorrow hit social media.

Many like Navoyan, who appear to have devoted their social media accounts to only discuss the actor, said her death has left them shattered. The actor was trending on all social media platforms and was also heavily searched on Google.

Celebrities joined fans in sharing images and videos of Sridevi with hashtags like #RIPSridevi and #sridevideath. They retweeted and shared her last few posts, responding to them with shock and dismay.

Her last image, which showed her at a wedding in Dubai where she reportedly passed away, was liked and shared more than the other images. A video from the wedding where Sridevi was seen dancing and hugging her filmmaker-husband Boney Kapoor was also widely shared.
