Sierra Aviation Consultants comes up with a package to fly people on a 40-miniute sortie in a Cessna aircraft

Imagine flying at a height of about 5,000 feet from the ground and expressing your love this Valentine’s Day. Well! This can be a reality as Sierra Aviation Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is providing this opportunity for Hyderabadis on February 14. The company operates 11 Cessna aircraft. Flights will be taking off from a private aviation company at Nadargul and passengers will be taken on a 40-minute sortie covering the rock formation around Outer Ring Road, water bodies in and around L. B. Nagar etc.

Surprise gifts

The company will also be offering a welcome drink, presenting T-shirts and other surprise gifts to the passengers under the package.

“We want to make it a memorable experience for people. This is a first-of-its kind service in Hyderabad,” says Captain Raghuvamshi Surikuchi, CEO of Sierra Aviation Consultants. Before take-off, passengers will be given a 20-minute training programme. This will be about handling emergency situation in case a pilot collapses, operating radio, ditching procedure and tackling minor technical glitches as well, explains Mr. Surikuchi.

Cost

Those interested will have to shell out Rs.10,000 for a trip for two persons, Rs.14,000 for three persons and Rs.8,000 for a single person.

The objective behind launching this service was to create awareness among youngsters about aircrafts and flying. Already, six slots have been booked by different persons on Valentine’s Day, claimed Mr. Surikuchi.

The company is also planning to operate customised trips to Nagarjunasagar and other places.

“We are permitted to fly till 400 nautical miles from the capital and this covers places like Goa, Chennai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam,” says Mr. Surikuchi. For details one may log on http://consultsierra.com.
