SIT grills actor Tanish for four hours

Film actor Alladi Tanish was examined on Monday by the investigators as part of the ongoing probe in the drugs racket busted four weeks ago.

Two others questioned

The actor, who started his career in film as child artiste, was the 11th film industry person questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Telangana Prohibition and Excise department in the case.

Along with him, two other persons -Akhil Chaudhary and Nirupama Reddy- were also examined on Monday.

Tanish questioning lasted for nearly four hours. Interrogators continued to maintain silence on the outcome of the questioning.

Anand Krishna alias Nandu, who also acted in Telugu films, would be examined by the SIT on Tuesday . He is the husband of playback singer Geeta Madhuri.

With the examination of Nandu, questioning of all the 12 persons connected to film industry, who were served notices, would come to an end. Sources in P&E department said they would collate the information gathered by the examination of the 12 persons along with several others and proceed further on the case.
