Chief Minister K. Rosaiah has said that he would certainly consider the valuable services rendered by sincere party cadres while making appointments to posts.

“I agree with the observations made by the APCC president D. Srinivas that those, who have been with the party during its ups and downs, should be rewarded suitably with posts,” Mr. Rosaiah said at a programme organised by the A.P. Congress Committee to coincide with the completion of two years in office by Mr. Srinivas.

Complex issues

Mr. Rosaiah observed that complex issues dogging the State should be left to the party's central leadership. “I am confident that the high command will ably handle any problem that arises in Andhra Pradesh and also elsewhere in the country,” he remarked.

He noted that it was time all the Congress men joined hands and took the State on the path of development. He said Congress was a lively party that always took in its stride the victory and defeat handed out by the people.

The APCC president the AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi should be taken as models by the party cadres. “They have sincerely been taking up party work without aspiring for any important posts and everyone should emulate them,” he said. He recalled how he and late Rajasekhara Reddy successfully brought the Congress party back to power in 2004 and 2009 elections.

Mr. Srinivas felicitated former APCC chiefs.
