Sikhs celebrate Prakash Purab

The 349th Prakash Purab (birthday celebrations) of the 10th and last Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, founder of Khalsa Panth, concluded here on Sunday, with thousands of devotees and other community faiths celebrating it. The event was organised under the aegis of the Prabhandak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb, Secunderabad, where over 20,000 Sikh devotees participated in the ‘Vishaal Deewan’ by offering prayers to Sri Guru Granth Sahibji at the Key's High School Grounds. The congregation began at 10 a.m. and continued till 3.30 p.m.. Bhai Ravinder Singhji Ragi Jatha from Harmandir Saheb, Golden Temple, Amritsar, and other reputed Ragi Jathas were specially invited from various parts of the country for the important occasion.
