Sidda warns private bus operators

Transport Minister S. Raghava Rao on Tuesday warned private bus operators against charging more than the normal fare during weekends and festive seasons and said stringent action would be taken if anybody violated the rules.

In view of the coming Sankranthi festival, the Minister held a meeting with private bus operators and RTC authorities following complaints that they were charging more from passengers.

Responding to Mr. Raghava Rao’s warning, the private bus operators assured him that they would collect normal fare during the festive season. Expressing his happiness, he told them to ensure that the passengers journey was comfortable.
