A police Sub-Inspector Mohammed Khaleel of Vikarabad district and a trainee constable Keerthi died when the car they were travelling rammed a roadside tree near Mysamma temple on Rajendranagar outskirts on Saturday.
The SI who was behind the wheel used to stay in Bandlaguda. Another woman who was also in the car sustained injuries. The SI was on his way to Vikarabad when the accident occurred at around 6.30 p.m. ,” Rajendranagar Inspector V. Umender said. Death was instant for the SI. Keerthi who died serious injuries died at a hospital.
In another accident in Rajendranagar, a four-year-old girl Manasa died in an accident at Manasa Hills in the morning. Parents of the girl are labourers. While reversing the bus after picking up some students, the driver failed to notice the girl. “She slipped and came under the front wheel and died on the spot,” the police said.
