Shwethab Kumar continues to elude police

March 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:34 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The HR manager of a multinational firm who allegedly rammed his Skoda car into a two-wheeler at Gachibowli four days ago -- resulting in the death of a software engineer, and serious injuries to her husband and son -- continues to elude arrest.

On Thursday, Soni Ramchandani, 36, an employee of Infosys, was going to Gachibowli from Manikonda along with her husband Harish Prasad, and son Moksh, when the car driven by Shwethab Kumar, rammed them.

Harish stopped his bike due to red signal at a traffic junction when the accident took place. Doctors said that his condition is critical.

“Kumar along with five other persons went to Outer Ring Road (ORR) and after consuming alcohol was retuning back. He was racing and trying to show off his driving skills to the internees when the accident occurred,” Gachibowli police said, quoting one of the car occupants, Rishab Srivastava, who was detained after the accident.

Soon after the accident, Kumar and four others managed to escape.

“We are collecting details about the whereabouts of Shwethab Kumar. Special teams are on the job and he will be nabbed soon,” said Madhapur DCP Kartikeya.
