Showers likely in Hyderabad

People in city had a respite from the sweltering heat on Monday, with a few showers reported at some places. Initial part of the day was hot but cloudy conditions continued from noon. Temperature came down by two degrees, reporting at 35.9 degree Celsius compared to 38.2 degree Celsius on Sunday while 0.4 mm rainfall was recorded.

Temperatures continued to remain high in other parts of Telangana. Nizamabad and Ramagundam witnessed 39.2 and 37.8 degree Celsius, respectively. Hyederabad Met officials said there would not be much change in temperature in Telangana and other regions of the State. Temperature in Vijayawada was 36.6 degree Celsius while it was 32.2 degree Celsius in Visakhapatnam.

Rain or thunder showers were forecast for coastal areas, Telangana and Rayalaseema regions for Tuesday. Parts of Hyderabad too are likely to witness rain on Tuesday though the temperature might rise by one degree.
