SHE TAXI committee constituted

The Transport, Roads & Buildings department issued an Order proposing the concept of SHE TAXI, a system of women driving cabs.

According to G.O. RT. No. 159, a committee has been constituted with Transport Commissioner as Chairman, Director/Commissioner, Women & Child Welfare as Member-Convenor and three other Members including representatives of the Inspector-General (Traffic) and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad and Cyberabad.

The committee has been entrusted with the task of preparing modalities to implement the SHE TAXI scheme. It will prepare a project report, select beneficiaries, ensure tie-up with banks, select and procure vehicles and give training for seven days.
