She Shuttle, a private bus ferrying woman employees of IT companies, has arrived in Rachakonda Police Commissionerate on Wednesday.
Emulating the successful experiment of She Shuttle in Cyberabad, IT companies joined hands to launch it in Rachakonda as well. The private bus — being operated with financial assistance of IT companies under the aegis of Society for Cyberabad Security Council — would be of immense help to woman employees reaching their bus-stops or pick-up points from their offices.
The bus would be operated from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. From LB Nagar to Uppal.
Woman employees of different IT companies can utilise the service, the police officials said.
They can download Reach Safe app specially developed for She Shuttle and learn about the timings of the bus service.
Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda M. Mahender Reddy, Sandeep Sandilya and Mahesh M. Bhagwat respectively said more such initiatives were needed for the safety of women.
