Former Minister and Secunderabad Cantonment MLA P. Shankar Rao has filed a private petition in a local court here on Friday seeking action against a few policemen of Cyberabad Commissionerate.
He urged the court to make them responsible for missing of important documents from his house in Musheerabad.
Mr. Rao said the police had conducted raids at his residence in October last in connection with Greenfields land case and frisked him away for questioning. Since then, important documents related to disproportionate assets of YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director-General of Police V. Dinesh Reddy along with papers pertaining to illegal red sandal smuggling went missing, he alleged.
He urged the court to take action against Assistant Commissioner of Police, Alwal, Ganesh Reddy, Keesara Inspector Jagan, Neredmet Inspector Srinivas, and Sub-Inspectors Lingeswar and Shankar for conducting raids at his house in October.
Mr. Rao requested the court to direct the police to book cases against these policemen under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 379 (punishment for theft), 449 (house trespass), 447 (punishment for criminal trespass) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC. Interacting with media persons, Mr. Rao alleged that he was facing threat from Mr. Dinesh Reddy for having levelled charges against him.
