Muslims around the city observed ‘Shab-e-barat’ on Thursday night. Shab-e-Barat, the night of deliverance, falls on the 15 of the Islamic month of Shaban. Muslims pray in preparation for Ramzan and seek forgiveness of their sins.

Many visited graveyards and remembered their dear ones.

Flower vendors did brisk business, but many people complained of high rates in comparison to the regular days.

Special prayers and sermons were held at different mosques around the city. A good turnout of people was witnessed at Mecca Masjid, Shahi Masjid Bagh-e-aam, Vazirali mosque at Fatehdarwaza and Jamia Masjid, Musheerabad.
