Police on Sunday busted a sex racket and rescued a 20-year-old woman from Urvasi lodge at Punjagutta.

A B.Tech graduate, who was found in the room, was arrested, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) K.R. Nagaraj.

The arrested person was a resident of Old City and was taking care of his family’s crockery business after completing B.Tech.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Mr. Nagaraj raided the lodge and busted the racket.

The girl was later sent to State Home.

The organiser identified as Peter alias Chetan from Delhi brought the girl to Hyderabad in a flight. Peter, who managed to escape, was running the racket in collusion with a lodge staffer, Mr. Nagaraj said.

Police inquiries revealed that customers were contacting Peter through internet and WhatsApp. He would first gain confidence of the customer and later send photographs of the girls along with their age.

After getting a confirmation from the customer, Peter would send the girl in a flight.
