Separate test for Urdu medium teachers

The government wants to conduct a separate recruitment test to fill vacancies in Urdu medium schools and also schools in Agency areas, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said in response to a question in the Assembly on Thursday. He said the special recruitment drive was likely to be held after the TRT scheduled to be held in the second week of February next. He rejected the figures of 5 lakh vacancies in the schools as claimed by some members and said there were 1,22950 posts of which only 13,699 posts were vacant.
