Elaborate security arrangements have been made here in view of verdict on Ayodhya title suit to be pronounced by Allahabad High Court on September 30, police said.

Prohibitory orders under section 144 of CrPC have been extended for a week from today to maintain public order, peace and tranquillity, City Commissioner of Police A.K. Khan told reporters here.

The prohibitory orders are in force from today till September 16.

As part of precautionary measures, pillion riding would be prohibited from tomorrow between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for a week, the commissioner said. However, this restriction would not be applicable to those below 12 years, he added.
