Security for Ivanka Trump

November 28, 2017 12:48 am | Updated 12:48 am IST - Hyderabad

No huge contingents of police force were present at Trident Hotel in Madhapur into which US President’s daughter Ivanka Trump is likely to check in after reaching Hyderabad in the early hours of Tuesday.

Inquiries revealed that the Trident Hotel and other star hotels in Madhapur - including Westin which was initially said to be the place of her stay - were fully booked apparently for the delegates of Global Entrepreneurship Summit to commence on Tuesday.

Telangana Intelligence top officials were present at Trident Hotel at 10 p.m. After assessing security situation there, they left for the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad where Ms. Trump was to land by 3 a.m.

Contrary to citizens’ concerns of excessive traffic restrictions and halts, the security arrangements did not seem overwhelming even hours before Ms. Trump’s arrival at the hotel while traffic moved smoothly through the area.
