The Cyberabad police registered a case against a journalist of vernacular news channel for allegedly harassing a second year B.Pharma student.

The girl’s family told Medchal police that the journalist, Shashank Reddy, was accosting her everyday while she was returning home and forcing her to give her mobile phone number. When she refused to give the contact number, he tried to snatch her gold chain. Reddy also went to the girl’s house in Shapurnagar and threatened to end his life if she failed to accept his love proposal.

Unable to bear the torture, the girl’s family lodged a complaint with the police, who booked a case against Reddy. A hunt is on trace him.
