SCR GM reviews MMTS work

South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Tuesday instructed the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and other department heads to complete the ongoing MMTS-Phase Two work between Ramachandrapuram-Telapur and Medchal-Bolarum at the earliest. Efforts should be put on speeding up of railway electrification work he said, at a meeting held in Rail Nilayam for checking the progress of work in different sections including the Ghatkesar-Raigir (Yadadri), Bolarum-Medchal, Ramachandrapuram-Telapur and Umdanagar-Falaknuma.

Mr. Yadav also discussed progress of doubling work between Guntur-Tenali, Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar and tripling work between Vijayawada-Gudur. Officials of other related departments were asked to extend their cooperation towards speeding up the work.

Bridge drawing work and yard plans pertaining to Vijayawada-Guntur and Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar sections and commissioning of Gooty Station panel work was also part of the agenda. Additional GM John Thomas, principal chief engineer S.N. Singh, Chief Operations Manager N. Madhusudhana Rao, Chief Project Manager P. Srinivas and others were present.
